WELCOME

I am glad you either stumbled on or purposefully accessed my blog site.  At 79 years of age, my purpose is actually to keep my brain from atrophying. Sorry, nothing noble here. I write what I know from a lifetime of being a Catholic priest (laicized), US Army Chaplain, instructor of Adult Education at Indiana University, University of South Florida and Barry University., Florida Departments of Revenue, Community Affairs, Department of Children and Families, and Vocational Rehabilitation. and lots more jobs I have been, to my way of thinking, a complete failure with what I have tried to do in my profession as trainer and educator. I have been a bit more successful at my spiritual endeavors, approaching final promises (five years) as a Lay Cistercian to be accepted by the Monastery of the Holy Spirit, Conyers, Ga., and with an interest at promoting contemplative spirituality with The Center for Contemplative Practice.

I hope you like my theme picture of the lonely cup. I think it says about me what I could not describe with mere words.

Finally, praise to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit now and forever. The God who is, who was, and who is to come at the end of the ages. –Cistercian doxology
