THEORETICAL CATHOLICISM: The sustainer of Absolute Truth in this life.

Having two citizenships (one of the world and one spiritual), both of which I inhabit seamlessly until I die and my spiritual one completes its evolutionary destiny, I can access that spiritual one through an act of will, a choice that I choose the boundaries set by the Genesis Principle for reality and mind, adding to that the Christ Principle, a pathway to walk, sustained by the Principle of Truth (Holy Spirit). This last one is the awareness of where not to step in the minefields of life, its map being only accessible from an energy source of what is (truth) outside of human existence. Christ is the boundary setter for that map, actually showing all humans how to reach that deeper level of human evolution, one accessible only to the individual, not the species, and dependent on the ability to assimilate absolute truth about what is real and what is not. Through Baptism and the Sacraments of Confirmation, each person receives the knowledge of how to reach the highest level of human development. Not all humans know how to use this information or what Christ even intended while they lived, so there is the foundation of the Catholic Church, a living umbilical from the Risen Christ in Heaven to those individuals on earth as they pop into reality for a few years. During that life span, the opportunity is there to move to a deeper existence, one that is not accessed through human energy or power, or glory or wealth, but by realizing that Jesus is the way that leads to a truth beyond human existence and capability to live a life of increasing capacity, complexity, and consciousness. Those who can SEE with these eyes from Faith not our own, to look out at a bifurcated dual life, one of reality of matter and mind only, but another deeper level of humanity to live a reality of matter, mind, informed and completed by the spiritual dimension, which I call the life.

This third principle, The Principle of Truth, is, like its two evolutionary moments in time, composed of pure energy, not of human origin or of the human capability to produce through science. This energy is alive (a human term to feebly describe what can only be assumed) and not readily apparent to mere human reasoning without help. God the Father is that help; God the Son is that help; God the Holy Spirit is that help from God to me through the umbilical of the Catholic Church Universal. There are two questions with which I had to struggle, and still do, to some extent. I tried to understand God by proving God exists through human scientific or philosophical logic and deduction. I failed. The reason I failed is that for me to prove God exists, I must do so in that upper room of my inner self. I must be humble enough to admit to a higher power (as do AA members) that is not me, and I am not God. It is no accident that the sign of the cross is what is traced on your forehead at Baptism. Being a Catholic authentically means denying oneself, taking up the cross daily, and following the way. This way is always rocky. Just because your road is rocky doesn’t mean you are on the wrong road. Christ walked the rocky road of being human from Bethlehem to Jerusalem with obstacles and all the sorrows that led to His passion and death, all because of Love. Christ was the Love of the Father on earth and is the Love of the Holy Spirit alive in the Church at a time when I happened to come along. Using the truth, absolute truth, from God, I can SEE how to avoid the minefields of being a Spiritual Ape, one always plagued by the pull of the Seven Deadly Sins toward drifting away from the way, what is true, and a life that is heavenly on earth and fulfilled in Heaven.

Jesus told us he would not leave us orphans. We have the Catholic Church as the umbilical of grace back to the Father through Christ, using the energy of the Holy Spirit. The truth is what I can SEE using my limited human perceptions of what is.

There are four such perceptions that I am aware of that I would like to share with you, ideas from my Lectio Divina, and how I became aware of proving God by proving my humanity. My purpose is to know who I am as I realize how Christ is my Center of existence (all reality), then to “Do What He Tells Me .” These pulses of awareness are how I move in consciousness and complexity toward a deeper humanity. They are the enlightenment from the Holy Spirit to see my way through the darkness of hopelessness in the human condition to save itself from obliteration.

My thinking has some assumptions about the three universes. First, all reality is interconnected, and each universe has its own characteristics. For example,

  1. DIVINE ENERGY AS A CONSTANT
  2. POWER AS A CONSTANT
  3. LOVE AS A CONSTANT
  4. THE ALPHA AND OMEGA

MY SIGNS OF DIVINE ENERGY AS A CONSTANT--My premise is that I know a smidgen of what God might be like by looking at my life as part of the makeup of all that is, a constant that is cutting The Genesis Principle (Creation and the ongoing movement of consciousness and completeness from Alpha to Omega), The Christ Principle (buying back that which was pawned), The Spirit of Truth (making these other two principles active through the Catholic Church), all so that I could have the oppotunity to choose to move to the next level of my evolution and complete the resonance that was destroyed by Adam and Eve (My Catholic Church) and allow me to become an adopted son or daughter of the Father and heir to the kingdom of Heaven in Heaven.

I actually did look at the Father. If I look at myself, I discover them in each of the other three Principles, different, but constant. There is a link from God to me, and from me to God, in discovering the likeness and image of those constants. They are God’s DNA in all of reality, stretching out just so that I can say, “Jesus is Lord, to the glory of the Father.” This is the living truth, evolving as it hits Alpha and Omega, but originating from noTHING, just pure energy that only exists outside of our humanity.

Truth, as I learned it, is the adequation of the mind with reality. The problem each human faces when confronting any absolute is that they are held hostage by their own understanding of reality, rather than by reality itself. The notion of God, therefore, is an insult to their human intelligence, the world built on merely humanist values (none of which may be bad, but are incomplete). There is no absolute for one who considers themselves the God of reality, and the only absolute matches their particular worldview. Most societies slough through their lifespans dallying with the false God as their Center or that fad that seeks to capture the power of the moment (Wokism).

The reason individuals, political practices, and the general migration of patches of societies try to “corner the market” and impose their thinking as default for as much of humanity as will tolerate it is that these ways of thinking expose themselves to the corruption of humanity and the dissonance of absolute truth. Truth is, not truth that comes from a political point of view, but one that outlasts the effects of original sin, one not of human origins but which created human origins.

This is the first false God, the Golden Calf of the belief that any human has an immutable truth. Life is fleeting, and humans live only seventy or eighty years, if they are strong. Then what? Two answers seem to be possible.

1. Life, being corrupted by the effects of original sin, moves and grows in complexity and consciousness to seek its natural evolution, hindered by the dissonance of individual opinion rather than an absolute truth. This is reality, that is, not tainted by all the trashing of human nature that you observe around you during your lifetime; the inability to choose good that is beyond human satisfaction, the inability to see that what they choose is good for them but bad for their evolution toward their fulfillment as human beings. Jesus provides scriptural stories through scribes to show how shallow all human attempts to be the Center that chooses good as good, simply because they choose it, are. Like false gods, these individuals place false or powerless centers as the one constant that succeeds all other choices, but one that proves just an opinion. Bad choices are not just moral failures; they do not give humans either the perspective to move to the next level of their humanity or the power needed to elevate them to the highest level of evolution.

2. Then there is the human individual who must look around them as they grow in complexity and consciousness and determine what is good or bad for them, their feelings, but also for sustained values. They yearn to fulfill that deepest longing of the human heart, one that is restless, as St. Augustine says, until it rests in Thee, the one from whom all life begins and ends. These individuals, living alongside those who hold the opposite view, are considered to believe in fairy tales and Santa Claus, and are dismissed as being off in La-La land. For them, they are correct. For those who have realized that Jesus is the Messiah come to save them from simply being a human at the lowest levels of their humanity, they must deny their humanity to accept a deeper evolution. This finality only comes with absolute truth, absolute knowledge, and absolute Love. These humans realize that there are two forms of citizenship (earthly and earthly plus spiritual). They accept that there is an energy, divine energy, absolute truth, which they can never be, because of their nature, but which they can access and use its energy to move to a higher level of evolution. Only the absolute truth is constant enough and has enough energy to allow humans to participate. Jesus is the nexus, the transformer that transforms humans from their lower nature to a higher one.

Absolute truth has no error, no exceptions, and is not dependent upon the human’s tendencies to coerce it for dominance.

In prayer, realizing that, for a Catholic disciple, there is a living source of knowledge, truth, and love from God to us, and so, through the Church, from us to God. All we must do is believe, or practically speaking, to seek and we will find, knock and it will be opened to us. It is God communicating with humans, and we responding, without frying our neurons when we encounter the living truth, pure knowledge, and pure love, the energy of God. When I go to that upper room of my inner self and sit there waiting with Christ and the Holy Spirit, this waiting is not downtime, as humans think of it, but me being in the presence of Truth itself, that energy from God through Christ, so that I can receive it according to my capacity (capacitas dei).

The role of the Catholic Church is to be that conduit, a continuation of that umbilical from God to have the energy that I personally need to become an adopted son or daughter of the Father and heir to the Kingdom in Heaven. Catholicism is a way of life based on Christ’s admonitions to mine the gold of heaven on earth to take with me to furnish that mansion prepared for me, the Omega, and final fulfillment of all reality.

In our next conversation, I will remark on the second of the cross-cutting themes that Truth impacts me as I live out my time on earth.
