A Lay Cistercian Looks at Spiritual Reality
In building my Catholic Church or making new wine skills to hold the Real Presence of Christ in the upper room of my inner self, I use the following Psalm 127 to give me the proper perspective. If I build a new Catholic Church just for me, I don’t want to fall into the trap (heresy) of making it from what I know and have experienced. My New Catholic Church is one that I alone can create, but it must be God who is my architect, my builder, and does the finishing work of decoration. I simply sit in the presence of Christ and wait for instructions, as Mary, the Blessed Mother, told us to: “Do what he tells you.” It is in this context that I share with you the Twelve Pillars or Gates of My New Jerusalem (Heaven) and the three constants in all three universes (physical, mental, and spiritual), each with a different characteristic, each with a different nature, each having different purposes, but all three making up one reality. Like the creator from which all reality flows, my life is about building a New Jerusalem with the opportunities and experiences I have gathered along the way. Human evolution is all about progressing to a higher level of attainment. For those who only use the physical and mental universes to do this, they are limited to being simply an intelligent ape who can reason and get all there is to know about love and meaning. Add that third universe into the mix, and I can now see that the physical universe is to provide me with the correct combination of matter, time, space, oxygen, and progression of life itself; the mental universe builds upon that based on reality that constantly moves in both complexity and consciousness to reach humanity, the highest expression of life. But the mental universe by itself uses energy from nature and does not produce it. The mental universe, moving through time, is designed to allow humans to use their animality and limited rationality to move to the next step in evolution by the introduction of choice. But herein lies a problem. Human evolution, to reach that next level of spirituality, one that contains enough energy to raise humanity to that next level, only happens when an individual uses their free choice to abandon the present reality to embrace the unknown to human consciousness, an uncomfortable feeling to mere human decision making, one that makes no sense to reason. Christ calls this “dying to self,” which I take to mean that I must move beyond mere human existence to reach out for more, a movement that requires me to give up all I think I know to possess a higher plan of evolution. This is not a natural move for humans because we covet our freedom to make choices and the types of information we incorporate into our worldview.
The spiritual universe is the consequence of movement in reality, that all is, not merely the physical and mental universes in which I continue my existence until I die. Just as scientists say that humans are made FROM starstuff, so I add that we are also made FOR starstuff. Humanity may die off when the race becomes extinct or kills itself off with its suicidal trend towards nihilism. If I die, I hope that the ideas that I have shared with you are true and lead to my fulfillment as a human, destined to live forever among the stars (heaven). If not, I have had a terrific time piecing together the puzzle of what is with the little bits of choices and their consequences I have gathered in my time here.
I find myself surfing in this marvelous sea of life as the universe continues to grow in complexity and consciousness. I see the way so clearly, not my way, but how all humanity, all reality, converges within me that allows me to move to that deepest level of my humanity, one where only I (or you) can choose by believing that the word of Christ is true and not political posturing. Because of that flaw in human nature which is typified by Adam and Eve, I can only say I live in the HOPE of the resurrection from the dead and life in the world to come. With St. Thomas Aquinas, I pray with all the humility I can muster, “Lord, I believe, help my unbelief.”
Which leads me to why I have an awareness of all that my humanity expects of me. I alone can choose how to take with me those treasures on earth that I want to continue in heaven. Christ told me what is valuable, in many cases, the opposite of what the world thinks it is. The Catholic Church, for all its human limitations, is the way that the Holy Spirit has chosen to help me get to heaven, not the easy path of a conveyor belt where I just get on, take a nap, and then get off to get my automatic reward. No, indeed. My path is not the easy road, but one where I must mush through the martyrdom of ordinary living, up to my knees in the effects of original sin. I bear the sign of the cross because I must carry my unique burden through life. I have the Catholic Church, which is one, holy, catholic, and apostolic, to give me some assurance that what Jesus wanted me to know and how to act is true and authentic. I must work to get to heaven, hard work, always realizing that the kingdom of heaven I live in on earth, because I am an adopted son (daughter) of the Father, requires me to act opposite to what the world says is meaningful. The cross is my sign, not the sign of the dollar or morality that satisfied my false self. I must make new wineskins from the new wine I receive from Christ each day and sustain it with the Real Presence.
This first new house is My New Catholic Church, or new wine skins that God builds for me and through me, while I live. I build it with the architectural plans from the Father; I access it with Jesus, the builder and cornerstone; I make it uniquely My Catholic Church using the power of the Holy Spirit and the inspiration and prayers of the communion of saints (Saints) to sustain me on earth so I don’t slip back into my former false self.
“For behold, I make all things new,” says the Master. What we (Jesus, Holy Spirit, Catholic Church) build while I live, I can take with me to decorate that second mansion that the Father has waiting for me. Christ, through the Holy Spirit, guide me to make authentic new wineskins. Each Catholic must build their own Catholic Church, using the Magisterium, Scriptures, Traditions from the Ecumenical Councils, and the teachings from the Holy Father. There is no easy way to get to heaven without the cross, prosperity theology notwithstanding.
I know that the Father has created a second mansion for me after I die, which continues the fulfillment of my humanity with the Church Universal in the presence of Christ and the Holy Spirit, and just waiting (sound familiar?) The rest of my life on earth is to be aware of the goodness of the Lord and store up the treasures (God’s treasures, not mine) with which I can decorate that mansion given to me as part of my inheritance of the Kingdom of Heaven in Heaven.
Read the following Psalm 127 as if you were the writer, and it is about your life, trying to make new wine skins to take with you to Heaven after you die. Life for a believer is like a huge flea market where you must choose what will be good for you in Heaven or suitable for you right now, and won’t take it through the pearly gates.
The song of ascents. Of Solomon.
1 Unless the LORD build the house,
they labor in vain who build.
Unless the LORD guards the city,
in vain does the guard keep watch.
2 It is vain for you to rise early
and put off your rest at night,
To eat bread earned by hard toil—
all this God gives to his beloved in sleep.a” (www.usccb.org)
* [Psalm 127] The Psalm puts together two proverbs (Ps 127:1–2, 3–5) on God establishing “houses” or families. The prosperity of human groups is not the work of human beings but the gift of God. (www.usccb.org)
Throughout my life, I have been the worst person I know. I say that, not with tongue in cheek, but realizing that what I thought was religion was far from the depths of what could be, using the Holy Spirit and the energy of Christ to allow me to dig deeper and deeper. I was not wrong as much as I failed to move beyond minimalist expressions and habits built up over years of thinking I was doing enough to satisfy my own image and likeness of what a Catholic should be. By far, my biggest sin was, and is, sloth, and I must continuously challenge my earthly citizenship, which is a default to mere being human (physical and mental universes only). Constancy and consciousness of my humanity and its limitations awaken my primordial instincts to know more, to love deeper, and to find a truth untainted by human intervention. My Lay Cistercian Way (unique to me, as is my Catholic Faith), provides me with an accountability and a structure (schedule with which to measure my resolve), so that I look for to, even long to be in the presence of Christ Jesus with the Holy Spirit as Advocates, and just sit there soaking in the energy I need to keep myself centered on God (Trinity).
In a previous blog, I wrote about the twelve pillars or gates of my New Catholic Church, which God has built for me in which to dwell here on earth and continue in Heaven after I die. The twelve pillars, which are also the twelve gates of the New Jerusalem (Heaven), are thoughts uncovered from a lifetime of trying to discern what is good or evil for me, and, if I choose correctly, through which I must travel so that my humanity might be fulfilled as intended. Having partially uncovered these twelve dimensions (realizing there are many more), I opened this door only to find another beneath it. This seemingly infinite series of doors or awarenesses makes my Catholicism the most valuable of my treasures on earth, and, I might add, is exciting beyond belief. It is like an archeologist who has discovered a new dinosaur, a mom and dad who have given birth to a new life, a constant joy beyond all telling, like the new bride of Christ. This consecrated religious gives herself entirely to humility and obedience. I discovered that all the times I have been bored with religion, performing prayers that were already written (such as the Psalms in the Liturgy of the Hours), or sitting in the presence of Christ in the Eucharist or at Eucharistic Adoration, is due to my inability to dig out that gold that Jesus gives me when I just sit in His presence and wait. I can’t wait to stay with Christ, but I must constantly learn how to wait.
I keep digging for spiritual gold (good works, serving others, and prayer) because it is the only treasure I can take with me to decorate the mansion that the Father prepared for me after I die. I use the term “good works” in the sense of the product that comes when I abandon my will and place myself willingly in the presence of Christ to wait. There are three types of works: good works that come from Faith, bad works that come from a mere human choice, and no works.

There are four constants that I have uncovered, or more appropriately, that I have kept my mouth shut long enough to listen to the whispers of the Holy Spirit in that upper room of my inner self. By constants, I mean three different universes (physical, mental, and spiritual), all of which have this one shared golden thread that stretches through each of them. (See Figure 1 above.) These three universes, as you can see from this diagram, have three separate dimensions of reality, beginning with the physical universe, then the mental universe, and culminating in the fulfillment of the first two —the spiritual universe. In this diagram, notice that the mental universe (my humanity limited to the earth and its values) is composed of two dimensions: a) What I call the citizenship of the earth, or only being animalistic and rationalistic, without fulfillment of spirituality, and b) What I term the fulfillment of my rationality, or universe of both the physical and mental universes, by adding the citizenship of adoption from the Father making those who are baptized heirs of the kingdom of Heaven in Heaven. Although I don’t show it in Figure 1, the spiritual universe, which I enter on earth by Baptism and sustain through the Holy Spirit (Confirmation), has no end, whereas the physical and mental universes have a beginning and a specific end. It is open at the top because this is God’s sandbox, and to play in it, we use God’s rules as given to us by Christ and sustained by the Holy Spirit while each of us lives. Christ gave us the way, the Holy Spirit provides the Church with the truth, and I use the power and energy from being in the presence of the Holy Spirit to lead a life that has enough energy to allow me (less my body) to live in a place prepared by Christ for those who love him.
My four constants, not to be confused with the cross-cutting themes I wrote about in earlier blogs (resonance and dissonance, the limitations of matter, upon which my humanity depends). Constants are consistent with my hypothesis of one universe comprising three distinct and separate universes (physical, mental, and spiritual). I have identified four so far, but many may exist in my view of one reality.
When I dig for spiritual gold or make my wineskins new each day, I realize that I have spent a lifetime building the house called My Catholic Church. What I discovered ten years ago was that I was building what I thought were new wineskins, but were actually just my interpretations of what my Catholic Church should look like. I can assure you that it did not include the deeper level of meditation or contemplation. If I saved up treasures at all, they were the kind that “rust can reach, and moth consumes.”
These four constants are the results, not of book study, but of placing myself in the presence of Christ and waiting, without leaking out my needs, or what I think growing deeper in Christ Jesus means, but just sitting there in the stillness of silence and solitude of that upper room of my inner self (Matthew 6:5) and waiting. The God of my ancestors and the Catholic Church know what I need when I sit there. I always get what I need to have grow in me (capacitas dei) and move me towards what I should be as an adopted son (daughter) of the Father. I need to trust more and more in Jesus as Lord and less and less in me as a sinful person who has and continues to have the struggle to “Have in me the mind of Christ Jesus,” each day.
The four constants that the Holy Spirit has hinted at in my Lectio Divina are:
I. ENERGY IN EACH OF THE THREE UNIVERSES IS DISTINCT AND SEPARATE, BUT ONE. — In the last few years, I have been toying around with the idea that what is true in one universe must be true in all three universes (physical, mental, and spiritual). Granted, this is only my hypothesis as a theoretical thinker about reality, but it has led me to hold, at least until I find something better, that the notion of energy exists in all three universes, but with different characteristics for each universe, one based on the natural law unique to each universe. I must admit that what I consider energy is my own limited knowledge, but it is mine.
Energy in the Physical Universe– I look around at matter and the interactions of chemicals and natural forces at work with each other, and think of the power and energy that must come from such interaction. Science can tell me what makes up the universe, but that is the mental universe reflecting on the physical universe and using authentic science to discover what is deeper. There is a limitation to the physical universe and its material composition. For example, if I think of the star Stephenson 2-18, calculations tell me that it is immensely powerful with energy beyond human experience. I could not exist in its presence because of my frailty, yet I am more powerful than this gigantic star. I know that I know, and I know that it exists, and some of the properties of that energy. It is powerful, indeed. Energy in this universe is nuclear fusion, such as the Sun, and perhaps even a source of energy that we have not yet detected.
The Energy of the Mental Universe — But there is a deeper level to reality, the movement of that physical universe in complexity and consciousness that unfolds regularly, one that we humans can measure. Stephenson 2-18, for all its energy, does not know that I exist, only that it obeys the laws of nature consistent with its nature. It cannot do otherwise. In the mental universe, energy consistently flows from the physical universe, of which I am the most important component because I can use my reson and free will to look at both the physical universe and ask: Why? What? How? When? Who? and then seek answers that are consistent with the perceptions and awareness that I have garnered as life moves on in complexity and consciousness. Why do I have the right and the ability to choose what that reason dictates, even if it is bad for me? In the mental universe, as referenced by Figure 1 above, I am the only one who can use my reason and my choice to try to become more in terms of my knowledge, how to love fiercely at the deepest level of my humanity, and how to harness the energy of the divine, through, with, and in the presence of Christ to move to the next level of energy, the spiritual power. Energy in this universe is both the collective consciousness of humanity as it wobbles down the pathway of reality and the unstoppable complexity of knowledge and human purpose.
Energy of the spiritual universe— The spiritual universe is not only beyond my capacity to know, to love, and to seek what is true, but it is Impossible for my animality and rationality or even my human spirituality to stand in the presence of pure energy (100% of its nature, whatever that is) and survive, much as I could not stand on the surface of Stephenson 2-18 and survive. So, if God is so unattainable, why bother? It just so happens that this Divine Nature created all matter and sent it on its movement of complexity and consciousness with a Word (pure intelligence), or God’s DNA on each atom that is or will be discovered. Because of physical energy, we inherit who we are when we are and why we are. Because of mental energy, we can reflect on all of this and seek what is true, using our experiences and choices to dig for the gold of that next hidden treasure, spiritual energy.
Because both the physical and mental universes, by themselves, don’t have the energy to move to that next level of complexity and consciousness, one that will allow humans to advance to that next step in their evolution, we need help, now, each day, each hour, each second to sustain ourselves agains the effects of original sin from the poor choice of Adam and Eve. The spiritual energy that I have discovered is inside me because I am the nexus where the physical, mental, and spiritual universes (if I choose it) where I can ask for help, for the power I don’t have, for the energy that comes from the one who set all of this in motion, to fulfill my deepest longings of my heart: how to know, love, and serve God in this lifetime and be happy later on in the next level of my evolution…forever.
This is why I think Jesus is a savior, not to keep me from something, but to give me the energy to fulfill that for which my race was destined through complexity and consciousness, but which Adam and Eve derailed with their archetypal choice of good or evil (Genesis 2-3). Dissonance came into the world through humans, even though God creates only good matter. Humans chose to live with only human energy, which would never be enough to sustain our race to reach its intended goal. Someone had to ensure that this aberration in our evolutionary process was fixed so we could enjoy the resonance that the original movement from animality to rationality in the Garden of Eden, before humanity fell from grace. Jesus left the security of being God based on the single YES of the Blessed Mother to counter the NO from Adam and Eve. Read Philippians 2:5-12.
II. THE MOVEMENT WITHIN ALPHA AND OMEGA THAT LINKS ME TO THE THREE UNIVERSES OF ONE REALITY–LOVE. Love in three universes is that energy that links all three together as a purpose for human existence, but also hints that this is the energy that fuels God’s. In the physical universe, love is the unconditional way that matter and time move from Alpha to Omega along the way, collecting complexity and consciousness as it flows down that river of reality we encounter each day we open our eyes. Love in the universe of matter, space, time, and movement comes from matter being what it is intended to be. There is no choice in this universe; it simply is what it is, following the way of its nature and having truth as indicated by the limitations imposed by that from which it exists and has meaning. This universe has energy appropriate for its purpose. It is the interaction of matter, gases, and chemicals to produce energy, such as the Sun or Stephenson 2-18. There would be no biological existence were it not for this energy, although all life as we know it would not survive radiation or the gamma rays, which are the outcomes of certain processes at work.
But there seems to have been a deeper level of energy, albeit subject to the laws projected by the physical universe, that of biological life. Energy comes from energy and has a purpose or DNA imprinted on each molecule or atom; in this case, biological energy comes from the physical universe of star stuff. Life begets life, and so the paradigm shift from inert life to biological life occurred as planned, without any human awareness or intervention. Love in this physical universe is tied to existence to be what it is intended to be. I use the unattributed map I found online about the concepts of movement of complexity and consciousness that Teilhard de Chardin wrote about in his books, one of which is titled The Phenomenon of Man. Love as energy is matter, being what it is intended to be.
When I factored in the inexorable movement of complexity and consciousness built into the physical universe, I realized that all reality, past, present, and future, flows from beginning to end as a great river, having three dimensions of energy, ready to unfold as it meanders through its cycle. What fuels this stream of consciousness is love, the energy that is inherent in all that is, played out through evolution peculiar to physical, mental, and spiritual universes.
In the mental universe, love becomes animalistic in the sense that procreation is the key urge and driving obsession of each human, and this is as it should be. But, here again, there is a problem. Human love can be validated beyond mere procreation, and because I am human, to discover what human love is. God did not come to destroy procreation but to show us how to use it in such a way that we can take what is good and authentic love to heaven with us after we die.
To do that, we have to practice living authentically. We have the Ten Commandments and the Beatitudes to help us as we stumble down the walkway of our lifetime, making some choices that are good for us (obeying the instructions from God not to walk in the minefields of original sin), and other choices that will not lead us to fulfilling what our evolution intended.
Christ came to show us how to live the way that will allow us to get to heaven, how truth from God will guide us to understand the mystery of our humanity, and to lead a life on earth that collects treasures that God shows us where and how to dig up. We take these treasures to heaven with us, and hopefully, others will do the same. Matter corrupts, time will cease, but because of the eternal energy of God, we have been offered a place at the table of the Lord in heaven. We will not corrupt.
This energy is not physical nor of human origin, but is alive and one, yet with three separate and distinct elements. (The Trinity) Energy in this spiritual universe is threefold:
a) Knowledge from pure energy outside of animal or human nature, from which we take what each of us is capable of assimilating (capacitas dei);
b) Love that is beyond human capacity to contain but from which we can dip our toe in the divine nature, with Christ as Transistor to keep us from disintegrating;
and, c) Truth that is outside of human nature that we can access because each of us, by baptism, is adopted son and daughter and heir to the kingdom of heaven, not only while on earth but later on, forever with Christ and the communion of Saints.
III. THE MYSTERY OF THE CONSCIOUSNESS OF MATTER; THE MYSTERY OF HUMAN CONSCIOUSNESS; THE MYSTERY OF SPIRITUAL CONSCIOUSNESS, AND HOW I CAN USE ALL THREE TO BECOME MORE AND MORE AWARE OF THE DEEPEST LONGINGS OF MY INNER SELF.
Suppose the physical universe, at the cosmic and earthly levels, provides the base of my existence. In that case, the mental universe grants humans the unique capability to examine physical reality and, using reason and free will, determine what is good or evil as they move towards the next level of fulfillment, the spiritual universe. I live on earth, which, in turn allows me to use my reason and free choice to select that next level of evolution of my humanity while still living my limited lifespan on earth, so that I have the choice to accept the offer of adotion as a son or daughter of the Father and heir to the kingdom of God in heaven after I die. I am born alone, with the help of my parents, and I die alone, with help from Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the Catholic Church to help me reach that ultimate level of complexity and consciousness during my lifespan. By myself, without the pure energy from the Godhead, I would not have the capability or energy to reach that level of consciousness at the deepest levels of my being. Christ, being both divine and human in nature, is the nexus, the mediator between my humanity and the divinity that I am incapable of living after I die. Christ said those who were faithful to his instructions on how to reach this ultimate consciousness would be a place where our humanity would be respected, like a containment field, the place to which Christ ascended and took with Him Mary. It is the place of the Mystery of Faith because Christ told us He would be there, waiting with all the communion of Saints for us to experience what that fullness of our humanity would be before the Fall in the Garden of Eden.
“Blessed are those who have not seen, and yet believed.”
IV. GOOD OR EVIL AS COSMIC HARMONY OR DISCORD. — One of the products of the energy of spirituality is the resolution of the number one key challenge to humans, that of knowing good from evil. More specifically, WHO is the author of all life that instilled the template of good in all matter and biological life forms? The Genesis Principle is the written expression of the struggle of humans to use their reason and the choice of what they decide is true. Genesis frames the archetypal questions that humanity must confront as it moves (evolves) physically, mentally, and spiritually through ever-growing complexity and consciousness of time, following a harmonious pathway from beginning to end of all that is.
The consequence of pure consciousness replicating its image and likeness on matter, mind, and the ultimate end product of evolution is the lifting up of all humanity to fulfill what their spiritual nature intended before Adam and Eve (prototypes of humanity). I say “fulfill” because the energy to become something more than what our nature alone evolved is not possible with just human reason and choice alone. The energy of the mental universe is just not capable of that next paradigm to which humans are destined. The choice of humanity was to think that being human was the end of evolution, that what pure energy intended was blocked by that individual action of free will that chose poorly. The harmony of what is intended has been disrupted, not stopped, until the discord can be restored to its intended flow as intended by its source of energy. This disruption in the flow of evolution, since it is good, means all humanity is flawed, not evil by nature.
There is good and evil (the aberration of what is intended by pure energy, by that which has no defined boundaries) in the physical universe of matter and the evolutionary consequences inherited by the nature of what we know as physical laws that proscribe the limits of existence within its universe. Matter is harmonious or good because the source of energy from which matter and life evolved is pre, 100% if its nature consistently and constantly. Humans term this source God, a term not fully comprehended because of the lack of capability of humanity to grasp the metrics of attributes of one reality containing three distinct persons. Life comes from life, love comes from truth that is outside the realm of human existence or nature.
The Genesis Principle, as I define it, means humans have unintended consequences of a choice to remain at the lower level of human evolution or move to the next level of their humanity, if they know how. The paradox of evolution for humans is that, to reach that higher level of their intended existence, the individual must use reasoning and free will to access the Divine Nature without destroying what makes them human. Because each individual must choose what they believe is good for them, either good or evil, there is a cacophony of various truths or beliefs, each one consistent with being human, but not all consistent with being in harmony with the movement of complexity and consciousness in which they swim.
The core to choosing either good or evil, as described in Genesis 1-3, is WHO determines what is good or bad for our evolution, and how can we find a way to rise above our animal and lower mental selves (false self) to achieve that for which we were always intended.
The Genesis Principle is the sine qua non that precedes the next shift, that of the Christ Principle. If the Genesis Principle holds the mystery of what it means to be human at the deepest level of our collective consciousness, then The Christ Principle builds on that foundation and moves to the next step. The step that contains only humans and not other forms of life is the mental universe, but with a caveat. The reason I have reason and the ability to choose good or evil to fulfill what I think our purpose in life is, so that I can choose to move to the next step in my human evolution, one not dependent upon matter or mind for its purpose, but upon using those two characteristics that delineate us from the rest of living things or inert matter. In this last evolutionary step, I must choose to go outside of not only my comfort zone as a human but also my human nature to use that energy to enable me to make an individual choice to move from merely being human to that of being an adopted son or daughter of the Father, and heir to heaven.
I am the only one, not the Catholic Church or any other person who has ever lived, including Christ, who can seek the energy from Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit to choose what my intellect and choice tell me are the opposite of what my nature tells me. Red flags! Because the Father chose me at Baptism to be an adopted son (daughter) of the Father, I have consciously and consistently chosen God as my way to whatever truth outside of my nature might be, so that I can lead a life with humanity as my base, but also raised to a higher level, the spiritual universe. Christ has to come to fulfill the transaction of the Genesis Principle and restore resonance to the dissonance of the sin of Adam and Eve.
Baptism restores me, the individual, to my rightful path of evolution again, but I must also use the assistance of Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit to struggle with the effects of original sin. I realize that only humans were impacted by the sin of Adam and Eve, not butterflies, supernovas, or quantum entanglements. Each individual person has the opportunity to move deeper into the mystery of their humanity. It only takes an act of the will. God gave humans a way to seek what is true so that they can continue with the evolution of their personal existence, one not held hostage by original sin or Satan. Christ became human to show us how to walk the way that leads to knowing absolute truth, so that the life that we lead on earth will continue after we die. “Life is changed, not ended.“
Being Catholic, as I have become aware, is moving ever deeper into the mystery of my humanity as opened up to me by my consciously placing myself in the presence of Christ and the energy of the Holy Spirit and letting the Father speak to me in the silence that exists only in contemplation. The Mystery of Faith, as sustained by the Genesis Principle and in its fulfillment in the Christ Principle, enables me to become aware of what reality looks like in three universes, distinct yet one.
As I alluded to in the section on energy as a constant, the pure knowledge of the Father is the pure love of the Son, both producing energy of truth, and allowing me to sit in its presence using my knowledge and free will to soak up energy not available to my humanity as generated by human evolution. This action on my part is what I call prayer, one personal (taking place in that upper room of my inner self), and either private (the Rosary or Stations of the Cross) or public (Eucharist and the Sacraments).
