HOW I MADE NEW WINESKINS USING QUANTUM ECCLISIOLOGY
A bed in the rehab section of a local nursing home (adult care) is an unlikely place to do my Lectio Divina. Still, there I was, pen in hand, belting out a deeper meaning for the four marks of the Church (one, holy, catholic, and apostolic) and tying all of that into how I think Catholicism shapes my way, my truth, leading to my life in Christ. Let me back up a bit. On April 2, 2025, I went to the Emergency Room of Tallahassee Memorial Hospital with signs of dizziness and a general feeling of malaise, undefined but causing me discomfort. While there, I suffered cardiac arrest (the Widomaker) and needed to have two stents inserted into my arteries.
Obviously, I am here (although not all there) because of this happening. I entered Rehab on April 16 and was there until May 29, when I was sent home. My purpose in saying all of this is to reiterate that prayer is a part of who I am. I wrote down what I could remember of those sessions (interviews) with the Holy Spirit, which I now share with you, unedited and raw.
THE FOUR MARKS OF THE CHURCH ARE FAR MORE THAN JUST THEORETICAL JARGON, BUT ACTUALLY IMPORTANT WAYS TO LINK UP WITH GOD AND THE CONDUIT OF GOD’S ENERGY. THROUGH FOUR (QUANTUM) FILAMENTS OR ENERGY CABLES THAT STRETCH FROM CREATION AND THE FALL (ADAM AND EVE) TO JESUS, THE RANSOM FOR MANY THROUGH THE CHURCH UNIVERSAL SO THAT I CAN SAY, “JESUS IS LORD.” I USE THIS ENERGY TO MAKE NEW WINESKINS EACH DAY TO HOLD THE WINE CHRIST POURS INTO MY VERY BEING.
QUANTUM CATHOLIC ENERGY OVERVIEW
- Each mark of the Church is a living filament from God through all nature, the Old Testament, fulfilled in the New Testament, and through the Church alone as its conduit to me personally through the energy of the Holy Spirit.
- Each mark of the Church begins where God is and is the human institution which Christ set up to keep the knowledge of how to love with our whole hearts, how to share love with each other, and to know what this does as truths needed by the Church throughout the centuries, but designed just for me (and you).
- Each mark of the living Body of Christ is a filter against which I can measure my new wineskins against the tradition of the Church and its magisterium. You and I are the only ones who can bring those truths and traditions that Christ wanted each person to have to life.
- Each mark is a multi-nature tether that stretches from God through Christ using the Holy Spirit to reach me (and you) with the tools necessary to make sense out of a Church that is fallible yet infallible in faith and morals.
- I access that energy from God through Christ when I purposefully place myself in the presence of Jesus and wait for instructions.
- These marks, like other sources of grace (The Sacraments, etc.), do not come from human energy but are available to anyone who knows how to access them. They are living and dynamic realities.
- Each mark is a filament (pathway or tether) that brings me closer to Christ (capacitas dei) and being human to the deepest level I can attain only with God’s power.
- Each mark ends up in lifetime (or yours) and is made flesh through my good works and proclaims the death of the Lord until He comes again in glory.
- Each mark creates in me (and each member of the Church Universal) what Christ wants his followers to do to get to heaven. That is not past tense, but right now.
- The Marks keep followers from thinking that the individual is the Magisterium. I make new wineskins within myself, but the power to do so comes from the Holy Spirit, and the Church is the link all the way back to Christ that tells me what is good and what is evil.
- The four Marks are an enigma of the tensions within me, the polarity between being a citizen of the World and living Christ’s way, Christ’s truth, and the life Christ intended for us to go to heaven.
- Each Mark is a complex string of energy from Heaven to Earth and the Church, and from Earth and Church to me.
- I make all things new (new wineskins) when I see these Marks not as static words on a page, but a way to place myself in the presence of Christ through continuity and consistency with the Real Presence.
- The Marks are ways that Christ is present to me that ensure that I can “know, love, and thus serve others with the same Christ”, even 20 centuries later. Christ is as present now as He was to the Apostles. On my part, all I have to do is place myself in God’s presence through Cistercian practices and charisms and wait for the Holy Spirit to overshadow me.
- The Church is the living Body of Christ in each age, made up of many “me’s” who are each as different as snowflakes but still one, because of the energy of the Marks to know the way, what is true or not, and so lead the life that leads to heaven after we die.
- Each mark that comes down through the centuries is there for the Church to use as a filter to sift through the good and bad ideas we have, some of which are more true than others.
- Each mark is like a railroad track that the Holy Spirit created in each age from Pentecost to give us not only the mental instructions to get to heaven, but the tools needed to survive the effects of original sin as it affects all humanity. The Church is the train, the engineer is the Holy Father and bishops worldwide, and the Holy Spirit keeps the train on the tracks when there is a problem with the tracks (and there always is).
- There are four marks by which Christ, through the Church, goes down the journey of time until it reaches me (and you). We say those in the early Nicene Creed each Sunday at Eucharist, and that is not an aberration. One. Holy. Catholic. Apostolic. One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism, but also One set of train tracks for the Catholic Church to use from Pentecost to the second coming of Christ. I pop in on that train track at 85 years of age and am here to use the gifts that the Church has protected from those who seek to derail this train down through the centuries. (Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Reconciliation, Marriage, Holy Orders, and finally Healing now and at the hour of our death.)
The Nicene Creed, which we recite as a renewal of our Baptismal promises, contains the word, “I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church…”. The Marks tether this current age, and in particular my time on earth, together in a living and dynamic continuity with Christ. Christ did not just give authority to the Apostles but, through them, to the Church Universal today, and through this Church to me. The Church has authority from God to dispense the way, the truth, and the life, unbroken from the time of the Apostles. Individuals may have led us astray from time to time, but the Holy Spirit always returned us to our center, Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior.
