DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS NEED TO ASK THEMSELVES THIS ONE QUESTION.

With the advent of the process of electing our next President of the United States, I offer my opinion on the process of election in light of President Joe Biden stepping down as a candidate for the Democratic Party. The Vice President, Kamela Harris, is assumed to be the next nominee to head the Democratic ticket.

I would ask: Democrats, is this the best you can do?

To be fair, I ask this as one of my vetting questions for all national, state, and local politicians.

I ask this of former President Donald J. Trump and the choice for Independents.

Let this question sink in. Don’t answer it at once. Take your time. I asked it over and over in my mind. I did so not only for politicians but against my Catholic Way of Life, my view of what reality looks like to me.

What questions do I need to ask myself to get an answer that satisfies my human need for resonance rather than dissonance? This question requires me to delve deep into my human reasoning to make an informed choice.

Be you atheist, druid, agnostic, Catholic, one of the offshoots of Protestantism, Jews, Hindi, Buddha, or none of the above, as a member of this species, only you (or I) can ask this question to our satisfaction and make a choice (or think of it as irrelevant).

I have used and continue to use this process and come up with an answer that satisfies my hungry heart. At the heart of what it means to be human, there is a thirst, a yearning for resonance, quite unrequited until I die, that shapes my answer to the one question about politics, religion, but especially my own unique perspective on life:

  • a. How can I continue to grow towards my next level of evolution as nature dictates?
  • b. How can I love fiercely?
  • c. What is a truth beyond the corruption of matter and mind?

I am not you; you are not me; God is not us, and we are most certainly not God. Act your nature.

The process of trying to sift out chaff from wheat makes winnowing so important.

I am a citizen of this great country, which was founded on the principles of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

When I vote or listen to the God Whisperer to take a view outside of myself, I do so after asking the question Dr. Henry Kissineger asked his aide.
